Mission Statement

Mayday Post is the champagne bottle breaking against the ship of design media – it’s both the celebration of a maiden voyage and a word of warning from a vessel in distress.

In a time when off-line and online publications share a kind of sinking feeling, we will look at how design media is being treated, but also at how design is being treated in the media. This is thus a design blog for people who don’t read design blogs.

Over the next few weeks, we will be collecting dispatches from choppy seas and turbulent skies. But fear not: not all our posts will spell SOS.
